Back

So the holiday was good. Really, really good. For the first time in decades, my brother and I spent a week together without a single falling out. No rows, no arguments, no slammed doors, no raised voices. I know you cannot possibly appreciate this without an adequate history of our relationship, but since that would take up all this post and more, I'll spare you the details. Suffice to say that until this time, I had thought of him like a tequila shot. Only good in very, very small doses.

I came back with a tan (and yes, while I may be brown skinned being Indian but there's brown and then there's browner, and I'll thank you for appreciating the difference!) and without a mobile phone. I had it nicked
at a cyber cafe
in Gilli and almost gave in to the urge to bawl my eyes out in front of complete strangers but luckily got distracted by a charming Irish man and a gin and tonic.

The good news is that in order to replace it, I decided to succumb to the evil little voice in my head and joined the legions of iPhone fans. YES! I now have my own iPhone! And there's never been a kid happier with her new toy.

So while I have plenty of things to cross off my to-do list like upload holiday pictures, do post holiday laundry, placate pissed off beasties, learn how to use my iPhone, find work, it's good to be back.
