Big & Small
I love the juxtaposition of the colours in this photo. And of the fact that while I took this picture in a small, grungy Mexican restaurant located in the Indonesian neighbourhood of Ubud, it still feels Mediterranean.

I am a single woman in her 30’s who’s resigned to dying alone with her cats nibbling on her cold, dead toes. Apart from my bright-eyed, optimistic outlook on life, what helps me get through Mondays and insane deadlines are (not necessarily in that order): Friends. Friday evenings. Wine. A soft spot for animals. A weakness for Ben&Jerry. Reading (everything from romances to CSI-like forensic medicine/serial killer mysteries). The snooze button. Holding hands in the movies. Shopping. Rainy days. I dislike being patronised, told what to do, hate being in the wrong. I can't argue without crying, or cry without getting embarrassed. I am pretty intuitive. I am trying to outgrow making snap judgements. I always sleep curled up with the quilt over my head. I almost always cry while watching Grey's Anatomy. I almost never follow recipes. I love how I look in heels but mostly wear trainers. I hate working out but love the glow of virtuosity afterwards. I cannot make my ears move or one eyebrow above another (and not for lack of trying). I find it hard to stay awake on moving vehicles. I am a lip-gloss junkie. I really like the snooze button.
